Awesome New York City Photos: Mayor Koch in Action

Mayor Koch calls family members during a subway accident in which
the power was switched off. Killing the ventilation system for the subway cars.
Many passengers were suffering from heat exhaustion and the firemen had to walk
through the tunnels under the East River to get to them - a few hundred yards.
Everyone was exhausted. Some died of heart failure. New York City, NY.
