Awesome Experience: KIDS! An Unexpected Visit…

Thai KidsI was working on the computer in my room – as usual. It was hot outside, the sun blazing. I lock myself away in my cave and work straight until I get too hungry and need to go grab some takeout and bring it back to the room. Either that, or it gets above 90 F in the room and I figure – better to sweat exercising and go do that for an hour or two.

We have about 8 small kids that run around the soi (street) when school lets out but for some reason they were all at home early and having fun outside. I close my window shades usually because Thai people (adults) are just too curious to peek in and see what the “farang” – or, foreigner, is doing with his time.

I heard some voices out near the porch and someone was saying, “Hello!” over and over… it was the little girl here – she’s such a doll! She loves to just look at me – I’m different I guess. Funny looking maybe. But, whatever the reason – it’s good to connect with kids sometime – even in the middle of creating web sites and blogs on the computer. Maybe especially good then?

Take time out to watch a kid smile… or better, HELP a kid to smile… remember your childhood? Nah, me neither… I know I laughed like a madman most of the time – and that’s a great memory on it’s own!

Best of Life!
