A government survey on mental distress across the nation found Hawaii residents were least likely to report periods of mental distress than residents of other states across the USA.
Is this news? I could have guessed that, and you know you could have too. Is there any doubt in anyone’s mind – even in the minds of people that haven’t yet been to Hawaii that Hawaii is No Ka Oi? The best state out of 50. Hands down. Da winnah!
I’m wondering one thing though… are they taking into account the high incidence of pakalolo smokers in the state?
Tutu’s and Aunties are smoking it – what do they have to be distressed about? Just pull some buds off da plants next to da icebox.

Aloha! I'm "Vern". I created this site to focus on Hawaii - all the islands - Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Big Island and even Molokai and Lanai and Kahoolawe when I can find information on them. I love living in Hawaii, though I'm on an extended hiatus 5,000 miles away or so in Thailand. I hope you come away with something positive as a result of visiting Aim for Awesome. I want some Pakalolo and Hawaii happiness! :o)
Maybe Hawaii residents really are the happiest… really, really happy… Move to Hawaii and see what they got! lol. I remember riding around Maui and almost being stopped in the middle of the road by a hawaiian holding this massive bunch of budz… quite brazen! Must have had a lookout further up the road where we’d already passed. Gotta love Hawaii… too bad I don’t partake of the natural happiness…
