Memorial Day Camping Permits – First in Line!

Ho Brah!

You just come anytime, take my spot – I make it pretty for you and your pa.

Did anyone see this photo?

Father and son wait for camping permit, downtown Honolulu, Hawaii

This is, believe it or not, a father and SON! What did dis buggah eat for 25 years – da coconut meats? I think he ate pa’s food too.

Jeeeezus this guy is huge. His chair is made out of a solid block of da aircraft aluminum.

Da photograph man, he tell’im “brah, don’t turn face da lens, you goin’ breakem – lens can’t go dat wide…”

How do these guys get all this time off to hang out in their first class beach chairs to get first dibs on the Memorial Day Camping Permits? They were there two days before the place opens.

Maybe they used to work at the Honolulu Advertiser and got choke time now for waiting all kinds of lines?

Wait, I have another question. How many guys does it take to sit in line to get the parking permits for the same family?

Did pa bring junior to secure his place in line just in case there was any question WHO was first in line?

I’m still talking like Bruddah Lance… I can’t seem to shake it.

Click the photo for the original story at the Honolulu Advertiser  - and it’s their photo credit as well.
