Here is my new Aim for Awesome Squidoo lens that I just published after having it there for a year. Who knew I had to publish it? Not me… anyway…
I have Squidoo... now, will someone tell me why do I have it?
I published it and I’m not all that sure what a Squidoo lens is for. I have this blog – is the Squidoo lens necessary too? Does Google count the links? Does anyone use Squidoo? Is the point to make the lens the focus of my blog to people go there instead? Or, can I somehow build traffic there at Squidoo and send people to my blog which would make a lot more sense?
Anyone know what they’re doing with Squidoo?

That’s funny. Actually, I’m in the same boat.
I made a couple of lenses a while back for the martial art I practice, but I had already been writing a blog on that topic for a couple of years, so I ended up forgetting all about the lens.
The premise, as I understood it at the time, was that it could bring some traffic to the blog. Unfortunately, I doubt it gets much traffic itself, much less enough to funnel elsewhere.
Yes, it seems as if I’d need to market the Squidoo lens as much as I would have to market my Aim FA blog anyway. Does it hit a different group of people? Not sure – goal would be to rank highly in Google. Not sure – hoping to hear from someone that’s using this to their advantage… and copy their strategy! – Thanks for writing in Andy.
