If you use Gmail you know you can’t put images where you want them – until today.
Google implemented an “add an image” feature you can enable in your “settings” link at the top right hand side of your gmail account when you’re logged in. Then click the “Labs” tab and scroll to somewhere around the bottom and you’ll find it. You must enable the radio button (checkbox) and save your changes and go back to Gmail and you’ll see the photo button like I have here in my Gmail.
About time, yes?
I guess Google wasn’t focused on this as a priority because when you attach documents a preview can be seen at the bottom of your email. It wasn’t ideal – but most people were happy enough with that.
I like this style much better. Once you insert an image you can drag a corner (click, hold down and drag) and choose the size of the image as well as drag it around your email for exact placement.
Cool stuff!
