Film Festival Week on Big Island Hawaii

Navigation:/, Vacationing to the Big Island of Hawaii/Film Festival Week on Big Island Hawaii

Hawaii’s Big Island (and it is) is the place to be for new film as they are holding the annual Big Island Film Festival right now. There are day and evening films being shown at the Mauna Lani Resort from May 12th to 16th. Have a look at ratings if you’re bringing keikis along, at the schedule link below.

A couple years back I attended the Maui Film Festival in Southern Maui and it was a great time, not because I actually knew anyone in attendance but us – but because the films were awesome that year. If you like independent and new film you should head over to the Big Island Film Festival and catch some of the shows. Some are free.

The official Big Island Film festival site is packed with information including a schedule here.

What else is there to do on Big Island today but a film festival?

About the Author:

I’ve lived Hawaii since the mid ‘80s when I moved here at the age of 21. I arrived site-unseen in Honolulu with zero contacts and about $5k in savings. I worked from nearly zero and today Hawaii has given me the greatest gifts in the world in all aspects: spiritually, financially, romantically (married since early ‘90s w/ 2 children), and most important, peace. My goal with this site is to share the magic of this Land of Aloha and help others who are on a similar quest.
