I asked Aina to write up a piece about cockroaches in Hawaii and I think instead I triggered her deep childhood fears of fighting cockroaches as she was growing up in Hawaii. If you want to relive one’s childhood fears about big, scary, flying, seemingly invincible bugs, this one’s for you. Enjoy!
the homeless love Hawaii. all you need is a piece of plastic for the rain. churches show up to feed everyone, everyday at the gazebo in Hilo with full course meals. They also bring racks of clothes and sing songs while everyone eats. Some guy in Los Angeles stuck on the freeway in his $100,000 dollar car breathing smog living in hell thinks he has it together. Sorry, some hippie living in the bush next to the beach eating fresh fruit breathing fresh air has it together more then some rich dude stuck on the main land. With Jesus Freaks taking care of our needs, why work? Enjoy!
