Vern’s Comments

Thanks Alice for taking the survey. Interesting that you have only been there on Maui for six months. We need the newbie’s perspective as well. I wonder if your thoughts will change much with time. Particularly I’m wondering about the public school system. I hope it is ‘all that’, we would consider moving to Maui again and if it made sense we’d rather send our daughter to public school to save some money. If you read this article – can you reply in the comments about which school your child(ren?) are attending on Maui? Thanks much!

If you have any friends that would like to take the survey Alice, can you point them to it? Mahalos!

About the Author:

I’ve lived Hawaii since the mid ‘80s when I moved here at the age of 21. I arrived site-unseen in Honolulu with zero contacts and about $5k in savings. I worked from nearly zero and today Hawaii has given me the greatest gifts in the world in all aspects: spiritually, financially, romantically (married since early ‘90s w/ 2 children), and most important, peace. My goal with this site is to share the magic of this Land of Aloha and help others who are on a similar quest.
